Molotow Pens
Have any of you found that the "chrome" pens no longer are "Chrome" but just silver? Frustrating.

Re: Molotow Pens
Not sure if this helps: From their site- "To avoid a possible reduction of the chrome effect, it is recommended to change the tip of the used marker after one year"

Hmmm. Some people have said to clean it. It is 2.5 years old.

Re: Molotow Pens
I had this issue the other day,
I just kept pumping the pen and using it, it's almost like it gets a build up or odd flow restriction after some time, after a while it was working as good as new, rather than the greyish silver mess!

Re: Molotow Pens
bought mine a half year ago and they are still ago. But could be better when you buy one when you actual need it.

Re: Molotow Pens
I've given up on the pens as I was only using them to dab a drop to use with a brush. Now I just buy the refill which has a build-in micro dropper so you can get small drops, or you can airbrush it straight for the best chrome effect you've ever seen from paint. Yes, the refills are very expensive - but they go a LONG way. And unlike alclad you don't have to spray it over gloss black. In fact my best results were heavy coats over bare plastic.

Re: Molotow Pens
Has any of you ever tried using the airbrush? I mean the refill is very thin like the pens. It would be interesting if it can be used without thinning.
Greetings Thomas

Re: Molotow Pens
Yes and it works. But beware it take AGES to dry.
I have recently got really good results with AK chrome over TS14 gloss black. It is hard enough to be covered with Gunze gloss spray with no or very little loss of mirror effect.
