Does anyone have a good colour match for the Ferrari red used between 1975 and 1979?? The red they used looks so “warm” that it is almost orange in some photos. Certainly not a conventional red.
Looked on Hiroboy and they don’t list a 1970’s Ferrari red. However maybe someone knows a good Halfords match?? Or Tamiya??
Also, whilst on the subject, does anyone have an opinion as to whether the 1970 312B used the same or different paint to the later 1970s 312s??

Re: 312T - 312T4
I had the very same question on this forum a while back.
I believe the general consensus was that Tamiya TS-8 on white primer should be used for all Ferrari F1 cars until and including 1996.
And after that:
from 1997 to and including 2003: TS-49 with flouro effect
from 2004 to and excluding Monaco 2007: bright flouro red TS-49
from Monaco 2007 to and including 2008: Metallic red (TS-74 clear red over TS-21 gold)
2009: TS-85
2010: TS-49 with slight pearl effect

Hi Hugeprong,
Check this https://www.f1m.com/forum/viewtopic.php ... ex#p323652 because was discussed earlier and will help. I've used white primer.

Re: 312T - 312T4
Thank you so much. I would have been surprised if no one had raised this before and had therefore tried the search function. I obviously put a space in the text unnecessarily or something!
I might use the new Tamiya red lacquer paint (equivalent to TS8) if they do one. My initial efforts at spraying these through my airbrush have been rather promising I must say.
Thank you again.
PS I now see that Zero paint colour listed on Spotmodels, but not Hiroboy which is the firm I usually order them from.

Re: 312T - 312T4
I have done all of the T series cars in 12th scale, T thru T-5. I used white or pink primer with TS-8 as the color coat. Happy with the results.
