Shapeways - B193B

Post by SBEST »

I picked up the B193B front wing conversion for the Tamiya B193B conversion.

My question is this. Does the Shapeways - parts need to be treated any differently? Glue, Primer or Paint?

I would use CA glue and I think it will work fine for bonding. But I would wash / scrub the heck out of that part in Dawn soap / water, and then wipe down with rubbing alcohol first before priming. If it's the frosted super detail material, the matrix that supports the print object is a sort of waxy powder and it's in the surface pores of the printed part - sort of like a talcum powder which is hard to see. Other than that, I think it should be fine.
