You can even use salat oil to cool down the bits and let them stay sharp finaly, only thing which will not work out is to do a "dry" drill! ;)

I agree with the Sherline mill and sensitive drilling attachment. Here is some very small holes being drilled in a very narrow stip of brass. Yup, it costs more that a dremel drill press or a pin vise but boy can you do stuff with it that neither of the others can do.
