If you could find a copy of Marsh Models "World of 43rd", you would be well on your way. Other than that, stick with this forum and ask all the questions you need.

Cheers,

I wanted to add that yes 1/43rd is unique but the techniques in the hobby all are the same. Painting > Construction > detailing . Weathering all have the same things in common regardless of scale. Many of the sites (Top Studio or Wingnut Wings) have a tips or links section I have found helpful. Love You Tube for videos on things like air brushing and weathering from the likes of Ammo by MIG and AK. Rinaldi Press https://www.rinaldistudiopress.com/ have some very good books on weathering. Highly recommend the City Tractor SM book!
As mentioned Forums and also Facebook sites are a wealth of information. Keep an open mind with different techniques used from different genra (Armor, Air craft, figures, automotive) as they all can apply to building automotive. And last test test test any products you buy to get in a comfort zone and what works for you. Know how things work or in the case of painting how it reacts to your application before you use it on your project. Sorry for the long reply but wanted to give you some other options to think about.

Michael is one of the best out there.

Listen to what he says. Read what he writes. Very solid skills.

I'd say he's looking for someone to build the models for him, maybe?

I also think he's looking for someone to build his models. In this case I'd look for someone not too far from where you live and meet the builder face to face before striking any deal!

In the UK is a company... Grand Prix Models they specialize in 1:43rd, but do other scales too!!!
They do a monthly magazine called Four Small Wheels and have an excellent website, includes
a free weekly newsletter, they also have very knowledgeable staff who are Modellers and do
answer questions and give advice --- https://www.grandprixmodels.com/
