Hey again,

I am also building the R24 Renault

I also like the livery of the renaults, it sucks that they have orange now..
heres what i have done...

I just put togther the cowel and the front wing, they still have to be sanded and puttied, and primed

hey more progress
i finished the back wing and decaled it all it needs is a clearcoat, i also sprayed the cowel and i still have to decal it and spray the clearcoat.. more to come

Looking good........I'll be watching your build with interest as I picked up this kit a couple of months back and added it the the ever growing pile of must builds :lol: What paints did you use for the blues? Are you painting the yellow or using the kit decals?

If you are interested in the tobacco markings let me know. I picked up a set that were made for the 1/18 Hot Wheels kit. If interested let me know and I'll pass along the info.

yup the decals are really bad and fragile.They can turn on themselves easily, but they're so thin they don' t need any micro sol.
But you'll see the worst is with the tyres decals ;) surprise !!!!

Thanks guys, Fastback and tgoncalves i used TS23 for the light blue and TS15 for the dark blue, i will not be using the tobacco decals... I got the kit on ebay, Manu thanks for the tips on the decals i will know now not to use micro sol on them. i will have another update soon

fact is that the tires logo don't match the tyre radius( correct word? )
SO on those one, you may need a bit of microsol to re-bend them in shape ;)

small update, i finsihed the front wing its now clearcoated( i masked the dark blue and light blue areas for spray) also i have done 2 of the 4 tires..
im very close to completing the model now, all i have to do is attach the cowel with the front of the car.
