WIP: S27 Super Aguri - updated
After multiple coats of Tamiya TS-13 clear I have been in the polishing mode on the under tray. I went all over with 4K micro-mesh and almost everywhere with 6K. On the bottom I moved on from the 6K to one application of Tamiya compound. This is my first time with the compound and I dig it It's very nice and that's with just coarse, going to be extreme when I get it all the way polished out! Well, enough right ? Get to the pics!
Close Up...
The bottom will finish up real soon as I'm nearly done in the diffuser area. On top the front is looking good... just need to keep at it and work my way down the sides to the rear for a few more sessions.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my build!

Excellent work!!
In particular, I like the fact that you have glossed up the carbon. In my opinion it looks much more realistic than the matt finish most people go for.
Can't wait to see the decals on - Must be getting close now?

Thanks guys, I'm very proud of the finish so far on the carbon fiber parts of the build.
I'm close to decaling the body, working on some cf templates for the rear exhaust area, inside the cockpit, air intakes of the sidepods, and the underside of the body.
My dilemma is do I go the masking and paint black first route or just go with the cf right on the glossed white.... any tips? I've not tried cf on anything but a black surface...

Wow!!!!
it has been a while since I looked at your WIP. Your work is amazing. How in the heck did you do the legality plank?
