WIP my current project
Thought I would post a few pic's of my latest build.Decided to try the decals instead of paint to see what the end result will be ,so far so good.I used cf on the inside of the rear spoiler and the middle wing section the brake ducts and part of the cockpit. This era of mclaren has always been one of my favorites maybe the colors or the drivers or both.Anyway it is a mp4/7 1/20 tamiya ,so on to the pictures.
tell me what you think, regards Gary

Good work Gary.
There's something about this car that has always appealed to me. It was soundly beaten, but its a nice looking shape. Anyway, you're doing a great job. Look forward to seeing it finished!!

yup especially the red decals tend to stick on the support they're going to.i've used some on my DBR9 to replace the hiro decals and when you want to remove som excess, they almost melt with microsol and set.Hard to remove the rest. Well, sorry for the "aparté" .
it's a cool car with a good job !!!!

Walala, looks very very good. What color do you use on the monocoque? It brings some bronze metallic effect.

RE: WIP my current project
The color on the monocoque is about 5 parts flat black 2 parts flat brown and 1 part gold metallic it seems to make a great carbon resin color. Thanks for all the replys.

Quick update, worked on the undertray, foil and CF decals.Has anybody put together
the top studio f2000-2001 brake kit looks like a real pain?,I was thinking about trying it for this project,I know it is not correct but it would be a big improvement over the stock part.
Any suggestions are welcomed
