I agree the the motochrome for the price and the actual look you are going for is way too much in terms of price.
I would say find the best off the shelf chrome and try that.
The TS30 I dont think would give enough shine...just my opinion but i think you wouldnt get the look of the real car.
This stuff is just reflective enough.
If you want a mirror image, I have seen good pics of the Studio 27 paint that looks like a mirror.
It's not correct so I didnt even try and get my hands on some.
In the end, I love the results for my car and I look forward to watching all of your builds.
After this weekend I will finish the F12000 and be starting my Factory Hiro 248 full detail!!

You have a Hiro F248 full detail...?! YOU MUST POST A PROGRESS THREAD!!!
Guys I think that it's the actual paint which has some reflective properties, not so much the clear coat. So I'm not sure that TS-30 would quite do the trick. It also seems a little too light a silver. Could be worth a try though.
I managed to get some Studio27 silver paint for my MP4/21, so it'll be interesting to see how that comes out. I'll post some progress shots in due course, probably next year sometime realistically.
Looking forward to the final stages of the MP4/22 Chris, bring it on!

Not much left to do now.
I'm still working on the Top Studio brake set for this kit and I think I will display with wheels off.
These pictures are not very good because I just wanted to shoot some for an update.
And for those of you yet to build the kit.
I found a cheap Aluminum paint that could be used that has the same shine as the motochrome after you clear it.
I used it to touch up and you really cant tell the difference.
Could have saved myself a lot of money knowing that!
Enjoy.

Looks great Chris - I'll ask the obvious question - what is the cheap Aluminium (that's the Aussie way to spell it) paint you found & where to get it? Also can you plse tell us what colour you used for the front & rear wings (in order to match the day-glo decals)? Did you have to mix up your own colour?
thanks in advance,
Jeff
