He, who are you calling an old fart ???
OK OK, it is true I'm not getting any yonger.
But I use internet already soem years so I'm left the bronze age behind me some years ago.
But I don't like these new car anyway. So I build my cars like they used to do in F1 in the old days, just 1 layer of paint and some good old real stickers on it.
That's as far as I go wen it comes to painting, period!
Manu the decals did crack some.
Micro sol and let set for about 15 minutes and you can get the decal to work.
I tried several different clears (including the two you mentioned) and they all had the same result.
Results are the same.
Washed away the chrome and you could see the black.
Only thing I found to work was the method i used.
And it really didnt use all that much of the chrome paint to spray each piece more than once.
Here are some pictures with the suspension on.
I have tried to get the effect of the chrome but it really is hard to capture with the camera.
All i can say after seeing the actual car is it looks spot on.
The actual car is not a mirror and this is a very good way to replicate the paint.
That looks fantastic - I can't wait to see the wings and wheels go on!
The red decal on the spine of the engine cover looks like a nightmare though. I hope they've shaped it properly to conform to that odd shape, or you would have had a lot of difficulty.
I second previous comments, this looks superb - really good looking model. I've got this one in the pile, well I had too really! Just want someone to do nice Hamilton suit and helmet decals.
