I made a temporary paper model testing the right silhouette of the cockpit and motor cowling and the hight of the roll bar. Result was a 2 mm too high cockpit cowling.
The roll bar was tested with a 2mm soft alu bar. Finally I choose a 2,5 mm brass bar not a tube, to avoid kinking and for an easier soldering.

To bend the middle hard brass tube, I mode a wooden form.
And soldered the supports.
And added a mount for the electric box
and the upper longitudinals

Re: Ferrari 312 B3 1973 1:12
After a small modeling brake I'm back with this project. Before I continue detailing cockpit, motor, suspension and rear end I will construct the cockpit and motor cowling. But I have no plan or experience in doing that. My first idea was vacuumforming the cowling. But I rejected the idea, cause I feared a lack of stability of those parts.
So I will try it with brass sheets.
Cowling side parts are cut from 0,2 mm brass sheet and carefully bend over wooden spatulas. The lower edge was bend by pliers.
To stabilize and fix the two parts for the later soldering work, I cut a wooden place holder.
