THanks again guys, Thomas, join when you can, no worries.
Jens, surely I keep in mind your nice build! :D
Steffen thanks again from the pics.
I've also undusted my Dallas GPI magazine. There's one good pic of teh race version: the thing is that the small air intakes for cockpit varied.
Anyway, there'll be time for that.
Now let's go with the guest stars for this build.
A "Hondar" engine (as good ol' Nige would say!! ) that came with the 2nd FW09 I bought (amazingly someone sold me a Kawai with this extra and a set of my own decals).
Some nice wheels, a pair of driver figures, an FW07 ready to give something (seat?) and a full FW07 rear train.

Do I need anything more? oh yes!! decals! 8) here we go:

Yes those are for a later version but I'll hace the proper ones soon. So that's it:

Thanks for looking and pointing at whatever you see worth mentioning, guys!

I also organized a few things :D
I made a new set of rims based on the Lotus 97T. I made them in 3 parts, so it should be better for the paint job.

I dug up my old FW11 - I bought it a long time ago and thought about restoring it, but now it's going to be a sacrifice! :D

The FW07 also looks ready - a new kit !!, even if it is almost a pity to disassemble it... maybe I will also make a few parts with 3d printing or make casts with resin!

Image

I also looked at the rear wing, but I think I'll adjust a few things ...

Yup. Using the Honda from the FW11 is a good idea. I would use the rear end from the FW07. From pictures I have seen the suspension was similar.

Heeeeeeeyyy!!!! :D :D
That's absolutely amazing!!!
The wheels looks really, really great!!
Yes it's a shame to bust such a valuable kit as the FW07... I also strongly recommend the resin clone way!
In my case, it's that I have quite a few of thm in uncomplete state, but try to keep the complete ones like tat
Some research, and the RACE car had two small air intakes on the nose (one center, one to the right) and two quite visible (read ugly) fully open NACAs just inder the windshield.
Nose has to be refilled with resin (cheapest and most effective way) to sand it down to its due shape. The foremost face (rectangular, with rounded edges) has to be slimmed on its 4 sides. Its gotta be 5.5mm wide, and some 8 in heigth so it will be sanded also
on upper side (more slanted) and specially on the underside. That'll be enough to get that boat bow shape.
Engine cover, unfortunately, is quite unaccurate for ths version. Not sure if I'll try to correct it yet...

James you can mark it on your model, where you want to correct anywhere.
I only found this photos, is this the same way you want to go?

Looking at this thread with great interest, I bought a Kawai kit a few months back and was surprised just how bad the kit was.
Keep up the good work.
