These 1/43 models look so crazy small.
The tires are exactly the same size as my current kart model in 1/20.
I admire you guys so - that's just incredible magic what you're building!!

looking good! there’s no kit of this car available?

Yes, if there is, Tameo has a kit with every detail, but it is much more fun to build it from scratch. I am really enjoying building from scratch and also this scaleMr.Grumpy wrote:looking good! there’s no kit of this car available?

Amazing job, and I know it's partly for the pleasure of it, but... wouldn't be an option (and so I answer Mr. Grumpy) starting from Heller's really interesting FW11B?
Re: Scratchbuilding Williams FW11 scale 1:43
Just once try to build a Heller kit and (at least that one) they are horrible. if I remember correctly it was a Renault R24 scale 1.18 and the body was so twisted and deformed that I gave upJamesB wrote:Amazing job, and I know it's partly for the pleasure of it, but... wouldn't be an option (and so I answer Mr. Grumpy) starting from Heller's really interesting FW11B?

Their 1/43 F1 cars are a bit crude because of low part count but overall are a nice kit for around $10 + shipping online.

I have the 1/43 Heller FW11B. The body is OK. However the colors on the decals are not even registered correctly. Some colors are not correct. All suspensions pieces need to be rebuilt to look correct.
