Well here it goes, my first work in process. I've had this kit for almost 13 years sitting in a rubbermaid container waiting to be built. Basically quit building when my oldest was born, but last year after a trip to Japan, the bug hit me all over again. Basically started building a couple Gunpla and Bandai Star Wars figures that I brought home.
I gave my wife a couple hints for Christmas and she purchased the GF Models Senna figure for this kit. So now during all of this quarantine time, I've started messing around with the figure first. Mainly because I'm waiting on some other supplies for the kit too.
The figure comes with three helmets, from various seasons. I chose the one closest to that race and started modifying it slightly. Sanding away a couple mold lines, and the vent in the mouth as Senna did not run a vent for the European round. I gave the helmet a quick primer coat, then shot it with Tamiya TS-16. It's been a long time since I've painted with a spray can, but I think it came out great. Going to let it gas out over the next couple of days, and then start working on details.
Like I said, its been awhile since I've built anything so go easy on me. It's a very simple first post as I haven't got far, but its a start right?
