1/12 MFH Ferrari 315S

Post by mvc »

Hi all,

New project!

My last 1/12 was the MFH Ferrari 330 P4 which was my first MFH and it (=> me) had its problems. I expect this one to be a little bit more straightforward. Work has been going on & off for a couple of months now, but in these isolation days, let's take advantage of the situation and get some work done. No crazy ideas, just get this car done properly within a reasonable amount of time! :)
Cleaned up the first batch of parts

Used Alclad Aluminium for the most (but currenty invisible) engine parts, Alclad White Aluminium for the cam covers. Pipes & tubes are raw sanded metal, probably not totally accurate, but I like the contrast with the painted parts.

Chassis color is Tamiya XF-53 Neutral Grey. I don't have a lot of period reference pics, so I'm relying on MFH instructions

Well, that wasn't much of a W.I.P.... It's been a long time since my last post. Work was very irregular and not always ideally focussed, and I didn't feel like taking pictures all along the way. Anyway, the 315S is finished now so I'd like to share some pics of the result!
