A little progress tonight
[side note: We had to put to sleep our family dog of almost 16 years, Barkley
So I didn't have a ton of time to work on it, nor did I really feel like it once I started...]
I decided to just use the rattle can Semi-Gloss clear I already had (the LHS was out of stock) as I may as well use it up...
I got it all over my filter and spray booth though and will probably chuck the rest.
Anyway, thanks for looking!!
Hope to get some mojo back later in the week!

Re: Hasegawa 1/24 Nissan R91CP
Wife had a baby shower (YES!) so was able to sit down and get "my model on" !!
Here's a few progress pics!!
One of my screw ups in this shot, you gotta look close.
The only thing I find odd about this kit (which I am loving the Hasegawa kit, btw) is that there is no engine, like, at all. Even though the rear cowling is completely removable.
Anyway, if you looked at all this BS, I thank you and appreciate all the comments, guys!!
Have a great rest of the weekend!!

Looking great. The hasegawa GP C kits are little gems in my opinion. Look forward to seeing this one finished.

That's really weird that it has no engine. Especially if the cowling is removable!

Thanks daveyman!! I agree, this is the first one I've done, but they are great - finish and "fitment" isn't quite Tamiya level, but I think they have more detail than Tamiya's do. Like detail in the body and stuff.daveyman wrote:Looking great. The hasegawa GP C kits are little gems in my opinion. Look forward to seeing this one finished.

I know, right?!? Really weird. But, they aren't very expensive kits and that's probably why.CelicaGT wrote:That's really weird that it has no engine. Especially if the cowling is removable!

Here she is, done. I'll try and get some decent pics later in the week...
Thanks for all the kind comments guys, really appreciate it. First time using the airbrush and I think it came out pretty good. Had a few "uh-oh's" but overall pleased with it.
Had a lot of fun with this kit and learning some airbrushing techniques.
Added the last little bits and did the panel line for the body panels, need to get better at this. Also, attached the little bits and bobs to finish it off.
Thanks for checking out my model!! Any tips or tricks, even comments or critiques are welcome as I am looking forward to improving and furthering my skills.

Looks nice finaly, good job on the window frames, looking clean and sharp.
Take a stand!
