I use ultra glue from Mig now. it dries up clear and has some settling time.
before I used superglue but that settles to fast and leaves residue.

It has been a while to post my updates and progress on this model.

Next up was to check the body fit.

Seems in the rear I glued a PE-part a little oblique so the rear body doesn't fit excacly.
but that can be solved.

Next up the body got its inside color and several other parts were painted (airbrush , manual brush and Can)

I used the color suggested by Tamiya : TS17 from the can

Looks nice!

Just one suggestion: I notice you haven't glued on the flat cover at the front. I'd suggest to do this, fill the seams and paint the front again, since on the real car, there is no gap there, and due to the scale it always looks a bit wrong when you put on that cover only at the end with the gaps.

Final steps,

sticking it all together and decals.
and go for the final result.

I didn't clear coat it. I will be experimenting with clear coat first before I try it on a model.

hope you like it

Looks great, love the Gr.C cars - and this one turned out fantastic. Great result from the spray can, too, just goes to show you don't have to have an airbrush to get a great looking model.

btw, the brake assemblies and engine compartment are stellar!!
