My 2nd model started

The heller Peugeot 905 evo 1 bis.

Engine will need some tweaking.
The detailing on the kit could be a lot better,
So I will try to add some personal touch into this
Kit.

This kit has a difficult reputation. I`m looking forward to see how you beat it into submission. I have one in the closet of joy so I will be taking notes.

I've very nearly finished my kit of this car. It just needs wheels and wings adding. It'll be done by years end at my current build speed.
Replaced the decals with Shunkos product. Very nice, well worth it.
Made mine curbside as I thought the engine detail was junk and I also wanted to get the body fit right. I doubt it would be possible to have good fit on a removable engine cover, though I'm happy to be proved wrong.
I also fastened in all the glass prior to painting, again so I could get fitment right.
I recommend you dry fit and test run everything multiple times before you glue and don't follow the build order in the instructions to closely.
A decent looking car can be made from this kit, just need patience.

David, I'm happy to hear that you too think this is a reasonably 'buildable' kit, despite its bad reputation. I have a review on my website (https://robdebie.home.xs4all.nl/models/905review.htm) and I'm slowly building one. Like you I've glued the engine cover on, to get a good body fit. With some attention it's a decent model to build. It does have some errors that I'm trying to correct, like the underbody and tunnels. I'm looking forward to seeing your finished model.

I’ll be interested in this build as last spring I picked up the 1/43 scale Heller kit and the Indycals decal sheet. I’ve been searching for detail photos of the car to see if I could add any extra detail to my little effort, but i have found it hard to find much on the first LeMans cars

Little progress today.

As there is no decal with the brand name for the engine I decided to go to the local
Modelshop and get Some letters on a Sprue. I chromed the letters P E U G E O T
and then one by one put them where I wanted them. It does bring the engine more alive
I think. Next up I Will add Some wiring.
