Starting work on the car I picked up during my Asia vacation. The engine wire is half done. When complete it is on to the injector lines.

Completed the engine and the engine frame. Painted the frame with Tamiya Polished Aluminum. This time I used super glue instead of solder to put the frame together. Worked fine.

A lot has changed on the Pink Pig since my last update. The chassis is done and it sits level on the wheels.
Now on to the body. I have done some test fittings and things do not look good. The rear deck does not fit down all the way. This has been a problem with all of my MFH 917 builds.
I end up just showing them with the rear off, which isn’t bad considering all of the details back there. Also, the doors do not fit well at all. I wish they were made from resin.
At least I can bend the white metal to hopefully get them to fit.
Last option is to display with the doors permanently open. Again not a bad option with all the stuff showing inside.

Very nice work. I agree, if the doors are misshaped then I would much rather work with metal to fix them than I would resin. Rarely is your first correcting bend exactly right so it requires multiple bends. Metal is more forgiving in this case.

My main problem with metal is the thickness. Resin more closely approaches 1:1 than does the metal.

Just my $0.02.

Joe.

I secured the front clip to the chassis and the door fit was closer. Also, it is easier to bend them into shape this way. The rear will still be a challenge.

Looking great a super build your speed of building is very impressive.
Hope the decals will be ok.

Not building as fast as I once did.. I am hoping for a Moby Dick. That would complete my 935 collection.
