Re: 1/20 2018 Red Bull RB14 - from Tam SF70H
Update Time!
So i've attacked the rear end of the car to fit the Tamiya Gearbox in, (with a few bits of minor surgery to the gearbox)
stuck the nose onto the monocoque Still a few bumps to smooth out - i've added primer to help see the join.
These parts all line up better than they look, they just dont stay in place unless held. I plan on joining these all together to get a single part body, and a single part floor, kinda like a Studio27 Kit.
You can see the join here, a lot of sanding to do.

What an awesome project, major props!!
I really like that you've taken and blended information from different sources to get to the end result.
Looking forward to seeing it come together.
Cheers,
Chris

Looking fantastic Tyrone. A really ambitious project that's starting to show the fruits of your labour.

Re: 1/20 2018 Red Bull RB14 - from Tam SF70H
Update, So today, i've been working on the main body, it is now all in one part!
Next to do, is dry fit the front suspension, rear suspension shouldn't be an issue as i've cut all the rear of the RB14 away to just fit the sf70h suspension in place - I then need to remove the excess from the sf70h rear body work (underneath the suspension) to hide it from view, it'll be painted black and hidden by a load of suspension elements, so i'm not to fussed if it looks a bit off.

I'm doing Dans Car, as I see more potential to do something from Max in the future. Also this was the last RB car for Dan, Max probably has years left in the Bulls.shood23 wrote:Amazing work Tyrone. Big question is now Danny ric or mad max?

Tyrone, you are a genius!
Which game did you get the 3d files from?
And what other games can models be extracted from?
