To understand the reason that led me to realize this hybrid, just compare the 312 T version of Tamiya and Protar : the first is clearly superior to the second, just look at the quality of the plastic, sidepods, wheels, rubber etc...
The 312 T2 version by the Protar is very difficult to find (and costs a lot) and is practically the "T" with the upper body and the different wings, so the quality is unfortunately the same.
So, after finding the spare parts I needed, I decided to build this "tamprotar", thus obtaining a "T2" with the Tamiya quality.
It's the same thing i've done with "Ferrari 312 T5 Tamprotar"...
Hope Italeri will continue with re-release of these old kits...
