Polished it with Tamiya red cap to get the shine off. Worked quite well

Looks good Kars, I did same with my Ferrari 553 recently - no clear-coat, and polished with Tamiya Red (Coarse polish)

The trick is that it's a coarse stuff and scratches the surface?alien9998 wrote:Polished it with Tamiya red cap to get the shine off. Worked quite well

Good start on the 330 P4, Kars.
I will follow with great interest cause I have the Fujimi kit with the Historic Miniatures set for it to be build someday.
Thanks for share it.

Hey Kars,
-- Have you tried using another clear coat brand? I use Mr. Hobby Super Clear (in rattle cans) with good results.
-- Have you tried spraying a couple of very thin coats of Zero Paints clear, first? So as not to ruin the decals?
Silly questions for an expert modeller like yourself, I know...
Cheers, Chris

No i didn't use Mr.Hobby, maybe i should.
Does it work over Zero Paints / Tamiya / Revell Aqua / Humbrol?
No trouble with decals at all?
I always first spray a couple of mist coats, still have this problem (sometimes).
I also used Alclad Clear Gloss. Didn't like this one either.
