Mfh Ferrari 126ck (finished)
Time for a new project, put the Stewart on the side, because the urge to start my first mfh kit won. Also seeing all the nice builds here, that hasnt helped to fight it.
Was always a bit afraid to mess up one of these kits, also because they arnt cheap
Had some experience in whitemetal from Studio27 kits, but this is a whole other level of kit. So here it goes:
Typical contents, lots of whitemetal, pe, cnc parts, plumbing etc:
Time for the first page, the engine:
Next page, the rear suspension and gearbox:
And cockpit:
Couldnt resist for a total picture:
So far i really enjoyed building this kit, some delicate work with the pe parts, but in the end it looks great! Think im hooked

What a lovely build, great subject and format for a WIP! Love seeing the instructions as you work through the components of the car!

Re: Mfh Ferrari 126ck
Excellent building skills you've done there so far SuperMele
Regardless of what you say, your work with Studio27 kits
has stood you in good stead with this your first MFH kit...

I've always believed that you should never, ever give up and you should always keep fighting, even when there's only a slightest chance.

Re: Mfh Ferrari 126ck
Thank you guys!
Another page done. Relocated the oilcooler hose on the oilcooler. You can never make that sharp bend with the supplied hose. Also i noticed, on figure 20, on the top, they bend a wire 90º wich will then guide the hose to the connector. That didnt work for me. I just used straight pieces of wire, drilled into the connectors for accepting the hose (Need to touch up the bottom wishbone i know )

Another page done, exhausts and radiators.
I really like the whitemetal parts, minimal clean up, and then in the magnetic polisher.
This really helps on the fast progress. Normally i am a verry slow builder

Re: Mfh Ferrari 126ck
Finally had some spare time to continue on the 126. Looks like no big deal, but the white metal piece on the back of the cowl, needed lots of work. Problem was, this touched on several parts on the engine, so the cowl couldnt drop deep enough to fit between the bottom part with the undertray. Few hours shaving, sanding and everything fits. Dont mind the putty on the top

You have defeated your fear. Very nice and clean built. The hood you fit well. Looking forward to the next time, maybe with color?!?

Re: Mfh Ferrari 126ck
Painted the shell of the 126ck. Tamiya primer, zero Ferrari red, and zero diamond 2k clearcoat. Insides painted semi gloss black. First time cutting a vacuum formed winshield, and drilling into one . In the end, followed the moulded in cutlines, and the windshield fitted nice onto the body. Next up is polishing the whitemetal parts for the wing and final assembly...
