Hey ledzep any progress on this recently. I've been looking through mine today and like you have seen the awful fin and also what is up with the thickness of the floor pan? I compared to the the w07 floor and it's 3 times thicker almost. Also what is your plan for the upper front suspension mounting point on the car as they seem a little thin (ironically) and tricky to get any good grip on parts.

No more progress yet. Working on other builds at present. I did notice thick floor, but I think I will have to live with it.
Don't think I can fix it. I use 2 part epoxy for most of the assembly of MM kits. I haven't looked at suspension arms' mount
points yet. If connection is weak, some kind of re-inforcement might be in order.

WIP by Andrey Gorstalov
Cut out the Central part of the fin under the metal part. The remaining portion was ground off to a desired size. Both halves of the metal element are sewn from the inside and glued together .The shape of the fin brought with 2K putty.

pfffft..I lost my faith in Stu27.So many nice kits but hardly one that has the correct shape. They don't get any cheaper but with prices rising one would expect better quality. It is far from normal that you need to cut op half a kit to get a decent model.Gone are the( glory) days of Stu27..
