Entex Porsche RSR 1/8, updated 12/25/2017
Hey guys,
I recently acquired somewhat started Entex Porsche RSR 1/8 scale model kit and decided to tear it down and start from scratch. The model was about 40% built, the engine was a glue bomb but thankfully the glue wasn't very strong. Also the previous owner did not paint any of the parts. I did my best to take it apart carefully. Found a few small parts missing, but I was able to manufacture them myself. Although I have about 3 sets of Entex decals, I decided to order some custom ones and make this model into a Jagermeister orange version. I did not find any pics of this particular car in this livery but I wanted to do something different, so dont judge me too hard for this
It was very difficult to find reference photos of this car. I did not find any books available on this car. I think I visited just about every website that had any images related to Porsche from the 70's. I even ordered Scale Motorsports reference DVD hoping to find some useful info.
The extra parts I am using is hardware from Autograph and Model Motorcars. Fittings, braided lines, spark plugs and other things are from RB Motion, bestbalsakits and Detail Master. The custom decals were created by Michael at scalemodeller.de
I am not a professional builder, but I get great inspiration from some of the builds on this forum. every new project for me is a learning experience where I try to take it just one step further and test my skills by adding extra details etc. This could be a long work in progress, so even things you see are subject to change. If I decide I can improve something I will happily tear it all down and start again
Here is some pics of what I was able to do so far.. More photoetch clamps will be added, fittings and braided lines still to come, ignition wires are wip.

Oh yes, the big booty Porsche is finally started.
Will look unique at the end with that jaegermeister livery.
Great start, will watch over your shoulder.
Regards Christian

First of all, amazing collection of kits you have!
Count me in for this, great start on it with the extra detailing, wish to see more of this!
With a 643 Rosso in the back, you can count me in for this too! ^^

Rosso is on hold for now until Paul at TVF1 finishes releasing all the extras for it. It will build into an amazing model one day! I think i have every transkit released for it so far including original grade-up kit, all TVF1 parts including new wheels and even some rare photoetch + plumbing transkit possibly by Leggende e Passione but i could be mistaken of the origin.

Not wanting to jack this one, but wait.. TVF1 is back in business and doing stuff for the 643 1/8, whoa how
did that one get by me? Nice, need to look into it asap.
As others have said before me, nice stack of kits and yes, sorry Pork, but the 643 Rosso box got my attention
first . But I'll settle for the big Pork for now. And that are some big boxes (remembering the WRX one from
20 years ago)...

NIce start. What a massive amount of plastic. I imagine that every part could be enhanced with additional detail just because of its sheer size.
I hope you have a lot of rivets/bolts and connectors!!!
Joe.

Yes the kit is rather basic and there is a lot of room for improvement on all parts. I found very little detailed references available tho. Will try to improve as many things as I can but lack of photoetch upgrades and transkits really hurts this great kit.
