I'm just a little worried about what it'll look like once painted. It would be a shame for it to look... ordinary!

First, welcome to the F1M Forums, always a pleasure to have new members join our happy little community here.
Second, Holy Cow  !!!!!! Your craftsmanship is stupendous!! The chassis work is amazing, and such details as the shifter are truly inspiring. I am looking forward to seeing more.
Cheers,
Chris
In amongst Chris's understatements is this GEM.
" Jumping into the party a little late ". As I am myself and even later as well  BUT!!!...

I've been too gobsmacked to be able to say anything  and anyway way it's all been said...
There is nothing that I can say or add, that meets the criteria needed, to be able to comment on your awesome work.
Having said that, I do hope your head enters and leaves the workshop without problems

So...Hi Randy, as Chris said welcome to f1m.com and what an entrance

Come to think of it, it would be almost a shame to even put the bodywork on it!

Have you considered doing a "factory diorama" of the car being built?

Or are you going to scratch-build the bodywork in metal?

Hi Folks,

Hello Harvey, Many thanks..... and speaking of next installments :D :D

Hi Bruce, Nice to see you here !! with your skills you will fit right in .

Hello Tiffoc, Thank you, I have been made to feel very welcome here !

Hi Jeep, Thank you, Like your idea for a diorama ! I do plan on making the spyder metal like on the real car as I am worried that once I cut the doors out I will lose a lot of strenght and will have problems down the road.

update....

The front framework on these cars just kinda dangles off the 'tub'....
