Hi Folks,

Thanks to you all for the kind comments :) :)

Need to get this up to date.....

For the 1969 race, the rules allowed a 302 c.i. motor. The Ford engine was fitted with Gurney-Westlake heads.

The spark plugs are not fully seated in these pics.

That is all I have for now !

Absolutely fantastic work. I have seen similar full detail scratch builds of porches' before but in 1/8th scale. Never seen such building as this in 1/24th. Truly fantastic to watch. I think I will call you "Master" from now on.

Every piece is better than the last! I can't wait to see how you do the Weslake heads. I would love to see a little more on that when you get around to it.

Randy, a follow on question. I was surprised to see Gurney Eagle heads and not the Gurney Weslake or Ford racing head. Not sure what is correct but I am sure you will get it right.

Thanks for the kind remarks you guys !!!!!!

Need to get caught up with this build thread....

Next up are the Webers sitting on the rather unique tray.

Some reference pics....

Starting with the linkage....

Making up the support brackets...

making up the rest with bits of nickel silver tube and tin sheet goods. RB Motion supplied fittings, mocked up with a resin carb that won't be used in the end...

I want the Webers to stand out like this and have working throttle valves...

The following bunch of pics show the build up of the first carb.....
