1/12 MFH Ferrari 126/C2
Time to start a new project. The Ferrari 126/C2 Belgium Qualifying car.
This is my first MFH kit and the parts are very well made. A big step up from a $30 Tamiya plastic kit.
I started sorting the parts for the first page and will try to follow the instructions all the way through.

Started cleaning parts.
Tips for the magnetic cleaner;
1). Run the new pins alone for about an hour.
2). Change the water/soap solution often.
3). Clean polish the metal after the mag cleaner because the parts will tarnish quickly in the air.

The results are pretty good. I used Mothers metal polishing to bring up the shine and add a layer of protection from tarnish. A clear coat would be the best thing.

nice start
Is it possible if do not have magnetic cleaner, can build multimedia kit?
really tempted with 1/12 MFH..MP4/4 in particular

No problem at all, it takes just some more time to clean and polish the parts.shahir wrote:nice start

Great start! I'll watch this one closely.
I will say I've never had problems with corrosion. Maybe it's just me but I don't see the need for clear coats on polished white metal parts.

As Schumi said you don't need the mag cleaner. Some 0000 steel wool will work or better yet a brass metal brush. The mag cleaner is fast and I typically run it for 20-30 min per part. I can do multiple small parts or one large part at a time. The big frame piece will have to be done by hand. It's just too big.shahir wrote:nice start

If I take the part out of the cleaner and rinse it with water it tarnishes quickly. If I take it out of the mag cleaner and just let it air dry it doesn't tarnish that fast. Not sure why that is just my observation. The metal polish just brings up the shine and halts any discoloring. If I'm about to paint it I'm not going to use the polish since it will probably interfere with the primer.
