Hi,
It's been a long time since the last post
So small progress on the 500F2!
Small work done on the lower body: louvers opened on both side, pink is on waiting for the Ferrari red.
Exhaust started, but still need a lot of work... paint....
Ferrari Red paint tomorrow and maybe clear coat...
Thanks for looking.
Pascal

Hello, Pascal!
Your work seems to maintenance just like real car!
I am really looking forward to that being completed.
When a louver opens, precision increases.
Wonderful!
Thank you.

Pascal this is looking superb and all your detail work is really paying off. Remember don,t get the bodywork to shiny though, the actual cars were fairly dull on the paint work.

Re: 1/20 MFH Ferrari Tipo 500
Hi,
Thanks a lot for your kind comments gentlemen!
Regga: I know ...you must know for the louvers !
Alex: maybe an answer in the following pics...
Eagle50: Red is on
So, small progress today with the low body painted in red.
Here is a test of a low sheen clear coat on a rough part painted in red (a part of a 312PB).
Which is not really clear due to the poooooor quality of the pics
I'm still wondering wether I'll use 2K or Low sheen to depict the 1951 paint finish...
I've also work on the exhaust. I didn't like the rear end of the exhaust provided, so I machined a new one in a piece of aluminum.
The original "pipe" was cut off
...and replaced with the new one.
The different tubes and rough material:
Hope you still like the build of the Red Bullet.
More to come soon I hope.
Pascal

Hello, Pascal!
C'est magnifique!
The exhaust pipe added to precision remarkably.
Did you make it with the lathe which came out in the background?
It is a very convenient machine!
Merci.

Re: 1/20 MFH Ferrari Tipo 500
Hi,
Thank you Regga.
Your Fench is good!
Yes, I turned the exhaust on the small lathe you can see.
Great tool.
The original part was made of white metal with a machined rear end to glue.
I think my sanding process was not so good and the result was a "round/square" tube...
The other + of the machined exhaust is the hole is really deeper and sides thickness really better.
Pascal
