Looking forward to this one! The T4 was my first 1/12th build too, back in the mid eighties. I have the modern (like yours) kit on my pile for when I can return and do it the justice it deserves.

excellent - will watch with most interest!

Conceerning stripping the chrome, what product did you use to accomplish that? I have tried several things on my current 1/12 Tyrrell project and though I have most of the chrome off there are still flakes of it remaining...

You can strip chrome with Castrol Super Clean in just a few minutes. The only one it didn't work with was the BT44b's, for some odd reason.

Anthony, as far as rivets, you might look at Archer Fine Transfers' resin rivets on decal paper. I've used them on my Matra MS-11 and BT44b to great effect. The backing is thin enough to not be visible, even on top of a polished finish. It works very, very nicely.

Many thanks, guys!

Full detailed

Thanks, but if I choose resin rivets, II will prefer masterclub's one. It on free sale in my city and it cost just about 4$ for 200 pcs ( 0.3/0.4 mm ). I think quality of it is not worse then Calibre35.

Thanks! :) This is Heller's Santa Maria in 1/75 scale.

Wow! I have never seen anything like this! But because of my way of painting in "sheet aluminum" such way of installation won't good to me.

I used two products:
1) Liquid for sewer pipe cleaning. By it I take off a chrome directly.
2) Brake liquid. By it I take off covering under the chrome, which looks like a varnish.
Details are completely cleaned off after that.

I feel that this job that comes will be something impresive quality, that's easy on the eyes.
It is with joy that I will keep mounting.

I painted my green on too using Testors #1124 enamel, matched perfectly.

I trimmed the fine black stripe off the nose decal and applied it to the painted nose area.

Continue to work with monocoque...
From a back wall of the monocoque i have cut off all tamiya's rivets and have drilled 118 holes for mine.

Fastenings of the strength elements i have scribed around for that their contours weren't lost after painting.
