Haha, loving the F4U.....I built a number of those kits unpainted. Decided they needed painting later on, but it was always a heck of a job to paint around the decals!!Orso wrote:Mask off and paint? I don't understand what you are saying. This is Matchbox. No painting necessary it used to say on the boxes..

Turn of the computer and you have plenty of time to build them

Re: Tyrrell P34, Matchbox
I did look for that truck and a second P34 for a while but gave up on the plan.
I had hopes to have this one finish by the weekend. Maybe it is still possible.

Hi Björn,
that's a nice little car you are building there. Great work so far!
I had build that one too many years ago. If I remember correctly the kit only had Depailler decals, right?
If you prefer a Peterson version you might check out indycals.net. I think Michael offers the Tamiya and Fujimi decals also in 1/32.

Re: Tyrrell P34, Matchbox
You are right. Only Depailler decals in the kit. This body was only used at the third and fourth race and Indy's decals are for a very late car so they wouldn't work. But Depailler is OK if the decals still work. If not there are decals do be found at the slot car arena.

Re: Tyrrell P34, Matchbox
Bjorn,
Great build you are working on.
I have a build in progress and some decals for the number 3 car via
Pattos place.
I had to make a missing tyre on the front.
I also have two Surtees kits on one of them the decals are shot but all good, the Porsche 935 Martini is a great Matchbox kit!
Cheers
