Hi Si90,
Welcome to the forum, it's the best around in my opinion.
Could you please advise which materials you used for the oil line fitting from the valve cover to the oil tank.
Wonderful work amigo, keep it up.
Cheers
Paul

Hi Paul
The oil fitting is made from Detail Master No4 A/N fittings and No4 fitting line bent to 90°(ish). On the Valve cover end I cut the A/N Fitting up which is quite easy with a nice sharp scalpel blade. I didn't need the part of the fitting with the chamfer so it's actually three separate nuts which made it easier to paint the centre one black. The centre black section is Detail Master Braided line No4 with 2 pieces of alloy tube on the end. To hold it together there is a broken drill bit that goes through the braided line and into a small 0.3mm hole I drilled in the end of the fitting line. Where it goes into the oil tank the A/N fitting is put onto a piece of stainless steal tube so the drill bit goes into that. The fittings are all airbrushed using Tamiya Clear Blue straight onto the raw metal.
Hope that is clear
Simon

Re: WIP MP4/6 - First time builder - of this subject anyway
Hi all
Progress so for on the MP4/6 currently stands like this:
Fuel rails detailed and installed
Valve covers finished and installed.
Perfect Parts throttle return spring bracket and scratch built mounts added to valve cover for attachment of scratch built throttle linkage.
Rear Shocks and anti roll bar added from Perfect Parts Kit and scratch built shock linkages made from R B motion rod ends.
Shock top mount modified with the addition of a small piece of alloy tube on either side.
Ancillary items on lower of both engine sides installed and detailed.
Scratch made white electrical? item added to valve cover - made from brass sheet, alloy tube and detailed with Detail Master AN Fitting and various nuts and bolts.
Exhaust header flanges added with scale Hardware bolts- Flanges left raw brass with just a light sanding as I like the natural patina of the brass.
Lots of wiring added.
Thats it for now.
Hopefully next time the Velocity Stacks will be on which have caused a few problems but I will get to that in my next update. My next milestone after that will be the rear suspension and whether all the modifications I have done will have left a bit of adjusting to do?

Don't try to fool us all by showing us a real engine.
