@ Torsten: As i said a few pages earlier, the oil reservoir looks like a plastic bean, much worse then the Tamiya 1:20 kit!
Not sure if their research was not accurate or why the put out such part. I know that Beemax/Nunu kits are not the best when it comes to quality, that`s why the question about the price came up i guess.
I`m looking forward to your progress and if such things can cause more trouble (fitting of the cowl finaly or else).

Overall it seems not to be a kit which unexperienced modelers should tackle in the first.

Scaleautomodeler, nothing I said was meant as an insult. While its unfortunate, I don't see it as a deal breaker for a kit to have this. That was all I ever met by any comments I made.

Is there someone around willing to measure the rims for me from that kit? I need the width and the exact diameter from the rims. A digital measuring toll would be needed as dimensions have to be exact on a tenth of a millimeter.

mmm, if you're planning to make tires, i think you better have the rims in your posession to check fitment.
And, another problem: rims are made in 1 piece, both ends have 'lips' so it will be difficult to get resin tire over that lip. Maybe you should also make rims otherwise customer will have to remove 1 lip (that is, if tires are in 1 piece) or cut rims in 2

Hi Wim,

thank you for kind offer, i will think about it cause your absolutely right, it`s better to have the rims to make them fit perfectly.
About the one piece rims, the Tamiya kits are made the same way, one piece but i guess the solution to make them fit would work on this kit as well.
I have not seen the rims in realty, maybe someone can post a picture where the edge of the rim is visible, makes it easier to judge if the solution works out or changes have to be made.
I`m not a friend of doing changes to the rims for 2 reasons, first is more work for the modeler, and it leaves no option to go back to original tires. We don`t know if Nunu provide them as replacement in a few years, Tamiya did unfotunately not offer the option.
Doing rims too leaves the best option, of course, dioramas are possible that way too. Have to think about it.

Yes, they look quite similar to the Tamiya ones, so no changes needed to the rims and the same solution like for Tamyia will work here too, that`s good news!
