Don't think so because springs on the 56 are in a different position.Joaquin wrote:Red, yellow, white colours. All tires look width...my bet is for a Lotus 56B, already done by MFH in 1:20

The brake callipers in the new black background photo appear to be single piston Girling type. While the 56 had Girling brakes, they were of a different type and location than in the black background photo.daniel wrote:Don't think so because springs on the 56 are in a different position.Joaquin wrote:Red, yellow, white colours. Except for that I might have suggested maybe a Lotus 63(tyres all the same size?) which would be awesome.
Are the tyres In the photo representing wet or dry?
The tyres seem earlier than 1971, however there are photos of the Ferrari 312 B2 with tyres of similar tread pattern at prototype launch. However, the 312 B2 shows Lockheed brake association. The 1971 Monaco GP 312 B2 had yellow stripes, and also white wings. Can MFH actually still do Ferrari?
New black background photo has switched to white lettering, so our colour clues include red, yellow(gold), and white. Girling single piston callipers, and vertical spring location(if positioned correctly) suggest maybe Lotus 49, (C?)? Assuming of course that the car is an F1.
But what is the small splined(?) part in the black background photo? Is the black background photo just a collage of parts not necessarily spatially related?
Sleuthing is fun!

To me these spings are far in front of the suspension, not like the picture.Joaquin wrote:What do you mean Daniel? Front springs are in vertical positiondaniel wrote: Don't think so because springs on the 56 are in a different position.
But maybe my mistake.

I wonder about the Martini 908L Spyder from LM 1970, it was white with yellow and red at both ends and Hiro has done the engine already.

I got the impression MFH love Porsche racing cars. Porsche are NOT aggresive when it is old cars - and Porsche racing cars sells like hot cakes.AVG7 wrote:I wonder about the Martini 908L Spyder from LM 1970, it was white with yellow and red at both ends and Hiro has done the engine already.

I think they lay the x ray drawing all over each other, not always in the correct position. I think the brakes are wrong for the Alfa, but it's hard to tell from the drawings. Porsche maybe. I have not found a photo of these tires on a sportscar yet, but many F1 cars from 1970 and early 1971. That said, Hiro does not have the best Track record on tire accuracy. Sorry I had to say it
