MRC (Italeri's American importer) is having a sale on all in-stock Italeri and Academy kits, plus free shipping for orders over $150. Not bad if you're looking for some of the 1/12 stuff - the Alfa Monza is $180, the RE20 is $162, the Alfa 179 is $125.

The prices aren't amazing - they're in line with the cheaper European eBay sellers (because MRC sucks and overcharges for everything they've ever sold...) - but it saves you a decent chunk of coin on shipping vs. ordering from overseas.

Are the prices listed on that page the regular ones? Just asking, because I think they are very high!
Take for example the retail price for the 8C Monza which is listed as $298.99, the Mefistofele is shown at $289.99. Those prices translate into ~275€ for the Monza and ~266€ for the Mefistofele. Both of them can be had for starting at around 130€ on Ebay, and if you're lucky you can get them for 120€, so less than half of those retail figures quoted there. Even with a 40% rebate that's still on the high side, but then finally somewhere in the normal"ish" margin area...

Re: Sale on Italeri kits for US modellers
aaahhh, I remember the good old days when MRC was the home of Tamiya (models and RC). Would offer up some excellent deals back in the day (we're talking the late 80's here).
