Re: Interesting Photo on McLaren's FB Page.
Saw it. But did not notice Tamiya's logo in the right bottom corner until you re-posted it.
Are we going to have new plastic F1 kit from Tamiya ? That would be very cool. Curious though,
as there is no Japanese connection for McLaren in 2019. But it would be great. Progress at
McLaren has been very good this year and I would love to have papaya colored one in my
collection.

Never mind. It says 1/10 above Tamiya logo. So, just R/C body kit, I guess.

Well, you can still hope. The problem has always been licensing, so if a licence agreement has been made, then maybe, just maybe there will be a plastic model.

Uhhh... it's not actually a kit, you know. It's just a PR image ahead of the Japanese GP.
Je ne regrette rien.

Knew it was a PR Image...just interesting that it had the facsimile of the Tamiya logo on it.MoFo wrote:Uhhh... it's not actually a kit, you know. It's just a PR image ahead of the Japanese GP.

Says mclaren under the two stars. I’d guess the social media intern just botched copyright.
Anyway, we can live in hope.

Yeah, if just a lapsus, we'll know soon as "T" will soona ask their stars to be removed.43rdMichael wrote:Says mclaren under the two stars. I’d guess the social media intern just botched copyright.

It's weird if there's a connection between them and we don't see it as a sponsor. And if it had to be announced during the japanese GP, we'd know by now.
Anything, yes let's hope. Better an unlikely sign than nothing.

This has nothing to do with a new kit or secret new connection between Tamiya and McLaren. It's because of the latest social media thing: https://www.google.de/search?q=%23tetri ... 60&bih=560
I'd love to see Tamiya sue McL over the abuse of their logo. Would be a nice twist but i doubt it's gonna happen...
