Paint

Post by Mike »

I am having a real problem finding Flat black paint in a spray can that will dry fast .I used to use plastikote sandable primer flat white ,black, and grey and it worked great. They have changed to valspar and this stuff is crap .It stays tacky for days on plastic or resin and metal.I have tried rustolium and krylon too.Tamiya is the only one that dries fast .The only problem is Tamiya doesn't go very far. I use a can on every MFH 1/12 and 1/8 Pocher kits .The cost for primer is killing me !!! Anybody have an answer ??

I've used Zero paints black primer for a quick and easy flat black finish.

Testors flat black in the rattle can dries within an hour. Problem with Testors sprays though is their shitty nozzle will clog. I rarely get to use an entire can of theirs......get with the times, Testors!

I use Krylon ultra-flat black, Dries pretty fast has a nice flat finish and is cheaper than the hobby paints.
