AYRTON, 25 years on...

Post by JamesB »

Today I spotted a new book on Senna. Not that usual in Spain, where F1 books are rare and 90% are about Alonso. "25 years on, yes, it's timely" I thought....
and then I faced the thing that it's 25 years past. Fore some of us, roughly half life.
Not sure you, guys. I remember all that day, all what happened. Even what bend on the road when they told the final news on the radio...
Always missed, and what an era of racing....

It was a very sad day James, 25 years have flown by and I still remember that awful day clearly.

A sense of disbelief hung over me for several days afterwards.

RIP Ayrton Senna. Still the greatest driver I have ever seen.

Cheers, Paul

James,
I remember the day and the weekend in general.
Very sad to see it on tv the San Marino GP.
I never actually saw the pictures of the Williams car crashed at the time only a few years ago and it was a very high speed impact really awful!
Such a great driver maybe the best of all time as fascinating today as in 1994!
The word, "Senna", still brings back fond memories and a special time in F1 for me and one that I don't think will be repeated with the modern whinging fiasco!
Thanks for the memories Ayrton
RIP

A very Dark weekend in F1 History.

Senna, (to me) was the Greatest of them all, what epitomized this was the first lap of the European GP 1993.
I just can not visualise any other F1 Driver doing what he did on that day in those circumstances.
Very Special.
Dede.
