2018 Ferrari Models
Just so I have this straight, no company (Tameo/Tamiya/MFH etc) will be coming out with a 2018 version of the Ferrari? Monza version or US version in particular as no one has rights to make them anymore? I have the Tamiya version of the 2017 car which is nice, but was hoping to build the record holder at Monza since that record looks like it will not be broken anytime soon with rules changes and I would love to build last care Kimi won in.
Thanks,
Thanks,

Re: 2018 Ferrari Models
I have a scale 1/20 Ferrari SF71H Monaco version for sale.
It has been made by DTM (=MFH).
I even could sell you the Canada version, but it would be more expensive.
I had to pay more for that one. It's more expensive in Japan too.
You can find my add in the for sale section.
I am selling it for the same price i bought it for (incl EU customs, whopping 75 euro).

Re: 2018 Ferrari Models
As far as I know there is no Italian or US GP kit of that car. DTM (MFH) did Canadian GP version, which is probably most closest
to late season car. So, you can buy DTM kit from Kars or from Yahoo!Japan auctions. But if you want specifically Italian GP spec
you'll have to do your own modifications. Another option is conversion of Tamiya SF70H into SF71H using smirkoff's parts. However
that conversion will still require from you to come up with specific parts for Italian GP, unless smirkoff decide to make extra parts.

Re: 2018 Ferrari Models
The USGP may actually be quite easy to do from an earlier season car. Vettel said that they basically went back 4 months in updates because what they had wasn't working properly for that race, and thats why they were more competitive.

And decals. At the U.S. GP there was the new sponsorlezdep wrote:As far as I know there is no Italian or US GP kit of that car. DTM (MFH) did Canadian GP version, which is probably most closest

It would certainly help if Giorgio Piola would get his books published instead of selling watches.

I pre-ordered it about 11/2 to 2 years ago..PJE wrote:It would certainly help if Giorgio Piola would get his books published instead of selling watches.

To my knowledge it will be out on the 5th of March.

Re: 2018 Ferrari Models
MFH did release the 2018 F1 Ferrari in 1/12 in several version. A superb kit - but no engine. Saw it build at Retromobile. Looks like one million dollars.

Re: 2018 Ferrari Models
Looking at the prices of the MFH kit, and if Shaun’s work proves that Smirkoff’s parts are an accurate and acceptable conversation of the Tamiya 2017 kit, then I would look at doing the same.

The real sticking point is decals. If someone would create a 1/20 scale sheet with all the markings to do Kimi’s U.S. Grand Prix winner that was up to Indycals standards, I would invest in that way to create the SF71H.

I agree Paul, but let's face it. It's a MFH kit. Those are of a different class.PJE wrote:Looking at the prices of the MFH kit, and if Shaun’s work proves that Smirkoff’s parts are an accurate and acceptable conversation of the Tamiya 2017 kit, then I would look at doing the same.

Many kits from MFH are above 250 euro... so i am not surprised.
Love the work of Smirkoff and Shaun. Really great work.
I might buy some of the printed stuff to create a Red Bull.
But the SF71H and the SF70H have some differences.
Piola has a drawing of the 2 next to each other.... Also mind the wheel base.
So how accurate do you want it to be?
