Are you going to do the seats also and maybe other interior parts.

Hi

By coincidence the car is present at the in progress this weekend Goodwood Festival of Speed! Watch it all on youtube livestream. To avoid to watch it all - just 'rewind' back to the rallycars around 13.00 european time.

Made some progress on both GY rain tires & 911 safari car project...

GY tires
1/8 set will fit Eidai Grip/ Entex M23 (Japan GP 1976) while 1/12 set is made to fit Tamiya's M23 (Japan GP 1976) , Ferrari 312T (press presentation), Wolf WR1 (press presentation) & Lotus MKIII (press presentation). P34 Six Wheeler fronts still need to be drawn & printed (if ever, this will depend on sales of the others)

Tires where 3D drawn & printed. The cream coloured areas on the tires are filler i used to repair small flaws in 3D printing results. I will not cover these prints with any filler/primer to preserve the detail of groves & side lettering. The only thing that now is left to do is find manufacturer who can make resin copies of the sets & bring them to market...

Safari Porsche
I have redrawn duck tail spoiler for better fitment, and adjusted camber for rear suspension: 1.75° negative camber appeared to be sufficient. I started @ 5° and also tested 2.5° but both resulted in camber being too negative.
Parts have been 3d printed using low resolution (100 micron) & test fitted . Parts that will be used to make moulds of, have been printed in high resolution (25 micron) and have been left curing on their printer supports, now they need to be romeved from their base & cleaned.

I think it's now time to draw 1/8 RSR decal set, so i can get away from resin, filler & sanding jobs for a while. I need this ;-)

I really like those raintires and the idea that you will make 1/8 RSR decals.

About the ducktail I think the shape is not that accurate especially the sides are very different on the real thing.
Maybe that pic helps..especially the left side where you can see the mesh were the spoiler meets the lid looks very different.

please excuse my bad photoshop drawing but I just wanted to highlight some things. If you do some adjustemnts to the outside section of the spoiler it will be very good.
Excuse me for being so picky. But I see a ducktail nearly every day for the last twelve years :)

1/8 Porsche Carrera RSR Turbo Le Mans 1974 decal is @ printer. Pics below show artwork & fitment... Don't mind outlines here & there nor the faulty colors & blemishes in fitment pics: final product will have colors spot on as in artwork picture...
Also: wherever lines go over into each other with certain angle and not 100% smooth, it is thickness of plastic parts that not match 100% or edges of logos not cut to fit edges they sit on. If made matching/cut, I’m confident no angles will be visible from whatever direction looked at.

Few updates

- 1/8 PORSCHE 935 decal sheet is on its way over here from printer. Should arrive soon.
- i'm back @ 1/12 911 SAFARI transkit for the 934 & widened the holes i cut in the turbo fenders to make sure the new fenders would sit flat with contours that remain. Pics to follow.
- I made a fill in decal sheet for tamiya's 1/12 PORSCHE 934 kit #12055. Available here: https://www.bestbalsakits.com/tamiya/ta ... umber=4295
