Re: What is your latest model purchase
So it's been a while since I lost bought anything modelling related as I've spent most of my time remodelling my appartment and building stuff (carpenteering as I call it). Anyway, as I've asked about this earlier, I could not NOT buy it, being one of the lucky few who saw the original movies in the cinema. I think my dad took me and a few of my friends to the movies on my 6th bday to watch episode 2. Yea anyway, I don't know how I got interested in this subject again. But I did. And while looking for a large scale Star Destroyer model I came across a large scale version of this, put some research in it. Then found one of these on fleabay for a decent price with a "make a price suggestion" - and I did. I made a price suggestion which I thought was reasonable - below the asking price. Got the o.k. and this was waiting in my garage when I returned after my almost daily trip to the DIY stores after work...

Any recommendations for a detail up kit? I've got 2 on my watch list - the Green Strawberry kit FP03 or the PGX180 Fine Molds kit. For the time being I'm thinking Green Strawberry plus some parts from the Shapeways store, i.e. cockpit / console replacement etc. with lighting mod.

Re: What is your latest model purchase
Eventually after F-lands Mail-strike I ordered for myself a Tamiya's Wolf WR-1 scaled 1:20. No Bad-TIme Decals.

Re: What is your latest model purchase
Hi All,
It took a while to decide, but I knew I'd want this kit before it went out of production.
MFH 1:12 Williams FW16 Version "C" (San Marino)
Cheers, Paul

Re: What is your latest model purchase
After seeing a rat version on Leno, I found a started Otaki 1/12 Honda S800 on ebay fairly cheap. Honda CBR1100 bike will supply the new motor. Don't think it was any bigger than a MG Midget. Sadly no roof. This will be a great tiny track car.

I just got the Tamiya Toyota TS050 2018 Le Mans car for a very good price. As if I or most on this board need more projects:)

Re: What is your latest model purchase
My most recent. I have wanted the Protar Jawa for a long time. Twenty years ago I thought I would wait until I found a great deal on one. Then they disappeared from ebay, so when I saw this one recently I snagged it.
The Ferrari purchase was inspired by Niki's passing. I now have four 1/12 cars from the 1976 Japanese GP. This one, M23 with the E.Jan kit, Lotus 77 E.Jan and Tyrrell P34.
