That explains all the extra pieces in the TB boxing. Thanks!gilles.r wrote:Hi ,nichenson wrote:Someone a bit back had questions regarding what the differences were between all the S27 transkits. Well, here is a comparison in pictures of mostly everything S27 offers for the Tamiya 1/20th Lotus 99T.
The first thing one must note is that the Tamiya kit although very well designed and a great kit is only good for the first three rounds (Brazil, San Marino, and Belgium).
.....
Thank you very much for all the details you've taken time to show us.
While also searchng, I've noticed that th engine was a new version at Suzuka RA168 vs RA167 in the early season versions

Probably getting a Tamiya 99Tsoon, and money(and wife)permitting, I will try one of the S27 sets too. So thanks so much for the big effort of explaining and posting pictures. Extremely useful, I had no idea S27 put out so many different sets for the T99.

Re: Studio 27 Lotus 99T/99TB items and pics
I am really humbled by these comments. I wasn't expecting much of a response other than a few people, but I am glad it has helped several people out. I did make another small edit to fix a couple of things. I am also in the middle of remodeling my hobby room since I basically am doing the rest of the upstairs since we are adding a nursery. Before I started, I took out one of my 99T kits and got several of the items together so that when I am ready to sit at the bench again, I can get to work on one of the first three rounds. I do plan on eventually doing all of the versions as the 99T is my absolute favorite F1. Hope everyone has a great holiday season!

Also useful is the layout of the MFH parts ..gives a good view between different models
