Re: WIP Tyrrell011 SilverLine Tameo Kits
Hello Formulamike,
I see I can learn some stuff from you. May I ask some questions on the air intakes of the engine?
First: did I see it right that you made some brass tube spacers between the air intakes on the rail and the engine?
I very much like the fuel lines on the air intake trumpets. Did you use the trumpets supplied in the Tameo kit?
Im I right that you then drilled holes in these trumpets, followed by inserting pieces of small aluminium tubes. And than put in those tubes the fishing line.
I have build a lot of Tameo kits, but I always asssumed that adding fuel lines in this 1:43 scale was not possible.
You prove me wrong, so I’m very interested in the details of the way how it was achieved.

You obviously don`t know Mr. Akihiro Kamimura, a master in the 43 world, check out his webside or twitter page, he mastered this method and much more.Schummie wrote:

The trumpets are from the Kit.
For drill a hole in this trumpets, you must made a simple drill jig, its no problem.
When you looks in my old 6 10 year topics in this 1:43 forum, you can see this, when not, I made a pics
from this jig.
Yes Akihiro in gdist43.com is a great master of 1:43 Kits, he wrote some Topics in this forum.
Mike

I found the fishing wire. Got hold of tiny drills. But the micro tubes are a problem. Do I overlook a website?
I can’t find metal colour tubes in these extreme small diameters.
Anyone knows something I don’t yet?
