WIP - Tribute to Sir Stirling, Walker Lotus 18

Post by vanhookvintage »

Hi All,

This will be my tribute to Sir Stirling Moss.

SMTS Lotus 18 Climax in Rob Walker livery, 1961 Monaco GP. The story goes that it was so hot that the side panels were removed, and Moss raced it that way!

Good grief, I can't believe I made such an error. Thank you for pointing that out.

No problem - easily done, especially with autocorrect these days.

Looking forward to seeing your progress.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of this! Did you know that Denizen makes a white metal figure of Sir Stirling made to fit this model? I built one a while ago and it goes together very nicely. I've got some extra windscreens if you find that you need one.

Interesting project Greg, have not build any SMTS kit for decades, will follow this one.
Take a stand!
