Ferrari 412P 1967 1/43 x2 – Feeling43

Post by gtziaf »

After the MFH's 1/43 kits it is time for a double Feeling43 project.
So, I try to build two customers raced Ferrari 412P from the extremely difficult Feeling43’s kit.

Image

The one is the white – blue North American Racing, from 1967 Le Mans 24Hours. The No25 (#0844) car drove by Pedro Rodriguez and Giancarlo Baghetti, to a DNF…

Image

The other is the well known Equipe Nationale Belge’s yellow No 11 car. The #0850 racer participate in 1967 Spa 1000 km with Willy Mairesse and Jean Beurlys.

The kits…

Kit’s parts organized in two MFH’s boxes.

Now, I must exam the kits, make a build plan to my mind and start this difficult project.
See you soon, with some updates.

It's time to start the progress on 412P's project... :D

So major cleaning, scribing, air vents opening etc done at this stage...

Then, I made the mechanism for open - close rear hood. Also, some plasticard added to fil some big gaps, between body parts.

Finally, I prepare and the front hood. To make the fitting, with the main body, more stady, I add 2 metal rods in the lower part of it.

Of course, fitting optimazation still needed to be done, but I do it after I "play" with the doors.

All the best.

The work continues with the mechanism for the doors. Still, a lot of work to do on doors adjustment, the gaps, and the general optimization.

George,

super subject. Probably one of the most predator looking cars oozing power... I'm sure you'll do them justice.
However, your hinges on top seem out of scale. You should rethink/rework the mechanism as this setup will take away from the clean line of the car i think...

Thank you for your comment, Wim.
I already thought about solutions to this. I 'll see what I can do...

Another step forward for the two 412p's done recently. Meanwhile, I skip the uploads for a ton of test fitting, because it is not so interest.

So, I build the chassis, the basic suspension parts and the movable steering wheel. Then, I add the rear bodywork part and align it, with the engine hood. Then, I start the painting process.

Then, I can add the smaller details, like tiny absorbers. Also, more parts added the front system, like radiators, anti-roll bars etc. Also, the seat and some details added to the interior. In the rear, the engine block blued to his place. Finally, I did some washes and dry brushing to improve how chassis looks.
