Time to start putting all these parts together.
No, this aren’t the latest tyre warming blankets! I often mask the tyres off so I can spray either matte or satin gloss over the tyre walls so the Goodyear decals don’t shine. I then tend to leave them on until the final “unveiling” moment as the keep the tyres clean.

Re: 1/43 Tameo FW16
After-market fuel filler is a massive improvement over the one from the kit.
I often find Tameo’s wheel nuts a bit of a disappointment. Never really sure what it supposed to represent.
And they always come with these photo-etch parts to go with them. Again, I was never convinced with their look.
So, I decided to try something new by putting two of these photo-etch nuts on top of each other and then solder, before placing it over the other aluminium “thingy”. Hopefully it will provide a more “volume” to its look.
Still not 100% convince but I think that would do for the time being.

And here it is!
Nuts and valves. What do you think?
Some of you eagle eyes viewers may notice the wing mirrors are of the wrong colour. The car that took part in the Brazilian GP should’ve been in white. Well, read on and you will find out why! The mirrors themselves are simple pieces of highly polished photo-etch.

Re: 1/43 Tameo FW16
After-market fabric seatbelt was used and I also added a barely visible wire to the on-board camera.
Note the wing mirrors now say “elf” and not “CIF”! And they are now in blue instead of white due to the colour of the decals.
Well, what can I say? It’s a 25 years old kit and there were many fundamental flaws with the kit but none of which were impossible to fix. However, I have always liked its colour scheme and early 90’s F1 cars are some of my favourite in terms of design and proportion.
Anyway, that’s it for now until next time and I hope you all enjoy watching!

Super work. A difficult livery to pull off in 1/20 never mind 1/43. Very impressed!

I too, prefer 90s F1 cars. This is beautiful and very impressive. Your attention to detail and technique leaves me in awe. I'm building a 1/12th Moto GP and I can barely handle the parts!. Very ,very impressive build. Be proud! You nailed it!!
