Thanks for this. I’ve got to get this project higher on my list.
Does anyone have experience separating the nose area from the rest of the body area on the Tamiya kit?

Thanks for the update. One thing missing from the 1/12 Protar kit, and I believe also the 1/20 Tamiya kit, is the front ducting for the air intakes. This can be seen in some of the images with the upper bodywork removed, like pages 3 and 6.

I should point out, that those are the oil coolers you are referring to in your text. The water radiators are in the side pods.

Check out the Indycals Shapeways parts. Michael has done the parts for the Tamiya kit that I believe you are referring to.
