Absolutely great work!!! every millimeter of it!!
About inboard brakes, well yes the common trend was brakes inside the wheels (in fact THIS is called inboard, though at the rear sounds contradictory), to clean the rear to favour ground effect.
It was one of the "mandatory" changes for everyone in 1980 (had started in 1979 with Williams, Merzario, Shadow, Brabham, later Renault, Tyrrell, Alfa...) and yes, it was everyone at bthe start of '80 season, until Ferrari, desperately trying things to improve, went back to outboard (stuck to gearbox) from France onwards.
Since that moment I only recall Tyrrell from mid 1983 onwards. The Tyrrell Renault 014 (same tub as 012 basically went back to inboard IIRC.
Reasons for brakes stuck to gearbox were varied, but mainly centering of masses, ald lowering of non suspended weight. The cons are worse aerodynamics (but there was plenty of room on those wandering designs of early flat bottom cars, thus the choice of Tyrrell), and more stress to the driveshafts (braking is the strongest deceleration in an F1) besides in an alternate torque, quite bad for a fatigue designed part.
My 2 cents!
