You nearly nailed it. But not like my thoughts.
The inner core is completely made of resin. Nothing with silicone. But this inner resin core is made of two pieces.
Put out the big one to get enough space for the smaller one who is under the rear fenders.

Hard to tell, but wait for the pics.

Exactly what i pointed to, 2 solutions, a 2 parted resin core with a parting line somewhere in the rear axle area, ir a smaller resin core with a thick silicon skin. When doing ankers for the silikon it is possible to do a silicon skin covered inner core, roughly explained, didn`t point to that in my pm. But even the 2 parted resin core needs a few fixing points, ankers to make sure that the parts don`t move when pressing the core into the resin when casting, or filling the mold with resin, depending on how yoou want to cast it.
I would not try to cast the core in 1 piece, first it destroys your master, second is when cutting it, you have none fixing points to put it together before casting, only tape is not enough, but it is possible to do first a cast of the back with embedding fixing points and after this is done, casting the front part of the core.
You only have to watch that there is enough space between the wheel house and the back part of the core and the inside door area where you thickened up the parts, take a look at how wide the back is, and then try to give the doors a bit more space to take off the back core after casting.
Hope it explains a bit on the problems.
Another point is you have to make channels to get rid of air bubbles on the edges of the overlapping backpart, would it make easier to fill up with resin and prefend non casted areas.
For the parting line of the back, i would go as far behing the axle as possible, close to the rend of the wheel housing and not vertical, i would go diagonal to ensure that the front part can be easy removed before taking off the back part.

Now comes all together.
The body is ready for the silicone.The silicone needs some temperature before casting and the body needs some time to drying because of the Vaseline.
Patience is not my strongest thing. :roll: :roll:

I use Teflon Spray, cures well and you can move on fast ;)

starting with the mold now.....

All parts are ready now.The silicone got the right temperature and all other stuff is in reach.

First layer silicone was done with a pencil to avoid air bubbles and to secure i got all details right.

Than i filled the deeper holes with silicone so there should no bubbles under the body parts.

Now all is ready for filling it from above.

Nearly 4kg silicone later its done.Next step will be the inside of the body.

Here it is,partially.

The bottom was removed:You can see that the silicone looks good.

The white plastic sheet was removed from the windows.That was something i feared a bit.But it was easy and with some fine work it will be ok.

The grey ureol piece will be placed into the mold to save some resin.
Will use two wooden bridges and hang them into the mold from above.

Looks good so far.The windows are open now and i moved a bit step forward.

Sure, I'll see it better then no doubt!!! :lol:

(*): but there'll be some silicone between that and the pouring right? :roll: I think I understood, just language barrier confussion betewwen inner mould/core... :wink:
