PORSCHE 936 IDEAS PLEASE?
PORSCHE 936 IDEAS PLEASE?
Hi, crew!
I was browsing my stash to see what remains, what "kitexits", and came thru my Porsches. Apart from seeing you never ave enough 911 and 956/62, I saw I need some ideas for my 936.
Apart from the typical versions (OK for Martini, and dark blue martini, don't fancy the Jules or the ESSEX), is there some idea to make an existent short tail version, preferrably with fresh livery?
Maybe some stopgap between the 908 and the 936, easy to transform?
Come on those Canam and sports diehards!!
as usual thanks in advance
J
ED: is the 908/3 turbo a good option?

There were some other liveries run in national german races. For example a golden Warsteiner. Decals are available. Other than that there are test mules or the very early ones around the black widow.

Here you have them all: http://www.racingsportscars.com/type/ph ... e/936.html
The very first time they ran the 936 was at the Nuerburgring. It was black with Martini stripes. That caused the nickname.
The car had been black before during testing so they just added the stripes.
It turned out to be bad for photos, so Martini asked for the usual white paint.
You can't really build that version from a Tamiya kit. The old Mitsuwa kit ( i think ) has the right body.

Or the "Meisterfoto" car driven by Stefan Bellof.
But the black widow is very cool.

Black widow is a very different animal. Early configuration bodywork with low area over engine.

Thanks for the input, guys!
Lot of fantastic ideas there. The three color diagonal one is really great...
